Goodyear Endowed Professor of Polymer Engineering

The Department of Polymer Engineering of The University of Akron invites applications for the opening of a Goodyear Endowed Professorship position. Candidates are expected to have internationally recognized credentials and have made significant scientific contributions to their fields of specialization relevant to polymer engineering disciplines and related sciences and a proven record of externally funded research activities. Field of specialization is open; however, preference will be given to candidates specializing in the areas of novel multiphase materials, functional soft materials, field responsive materials, nanocomposites, interface science and engineering, nanofabrication, and device development.

Applicants for this position should submit a resume (with the names of three references), a list of research publications, statement of research interest, and copies of selected papers (not more than five) to Professor Thein Kyu, Search Committee Chairman, Department of Polymer Engineering, The University of Akron, Akron, OH 44325-0301.
